Welcome to Commizen (the “Platform”), operated by Commizen Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website, services, or any content (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.

 

1. Eligibility

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a legal guardian.

  • You have not been previously suspended or removed from the Platform.

  • You comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

2. User Accounts

You must register for an account to use some features of the Platform.

  • Account Types: We offer two account types — Student and Company.

  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

  • Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Unauthorized Use: You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

3. Platform Services

Commizen connects students seeking internships with companies offering them. We do not guarantee:

  • The availability of internship opportunities.

  • The quality, accuracy, or truthfulness of any user-posted content.

  • The outcome of any internship, job offer, or recruitment process.

We act as an intermediary only and are not a party to any contract or agreement formed between users on the Platform.

 

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.

  • Upload viruses or malicious code.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or our backend systems.

  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law.

5. Payments and Refunds

  • Plans: Certain features may be paid (e.g., subscription plans for students).

  • Refunds: All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy (link to be added).

  • No Chargebacks: By making a purchase, you waive any chargeback rights with your bank or payment provider unless fraud is proven.

6. Content Ownership and License

  • Your Content: You retain ownership of any content (e.g., resumes, listings) you upload but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, distribute, and display it for providing the Services.

  • Our Content: All content created by us (e.g., logos, UI/UX, code, text, graphics) is protected under copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, titles, and interests in the Platform and its content are owned by Commizen or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

 

8. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services offered by such third parties.

 

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • We are not responsible for any loss of data, business, revenues, profits, or goodwill.

  • Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed INR 500 or the amount paid by you in the last 12 months, whichever is lower.

11. Disclaimers

  • No Warranty: The Services are provided “as-is” and “as-available” without warranties of any kind.

  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that the Services will be secure, error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations.

  • No Employment Relationship: Use of the platform does not create an employment or agency relationship between you and Commizen.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Commizen and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any rights of a third party

13. Privacy

Your use of our Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully.

 

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

 

15. Amendments

We may update or modify these Terms at any time without notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are advised to check this page regularly.

 

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for failure to perform our obligations if such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control including natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics, governmental actions, or failure of suppliers or service providers.

 

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Commizen concerning your use of the Platform.
